The Class 86 farewell

The 'one' organised railtour 'The Anglian Class 86 Farewell' took a top and tail pair of Class 86s on a tour of the region. Although the 86s will continue in service probably until the end of 2004 (indeed the train worked back to Norwich in service!) it was a good opportunity to see the old workhorses off it style.


		After being hauled in on the rear of the stock 86235 has the headboard applied and awaits departure, 9705 stands beside on the rear of a Norwich arrival

	A fairly spirited run was recorded back to London A very 'lively' ride was had and a thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all. Full marks to the staff of 'One' for a top day.
		After thrashing it's way back to London in 82 minutes 235 stands at the stops on Platform 12
