Flying Scotsman returns to the main line, as seen from a flying point of view.
Flying Scotsman returns to the East Coast Main Line seen here crossing the Digswell Viaduct with the inaugural charter to York. The shot was originally planned to just take a still from, hence the late pan, but the still is not to be due to smoke/wind problems.
A mile or so further on Scotsman crosses Robbery Bottom Lane viaduct.
37093 mocked up in Police Colours, probably could have been put to good use on Feb 25th when Flying Scotsman returned to the main line and got barely 40 miles before being halted due to tresspass.
